DOWNEY – An exhibit of public, street and graffiti art will be showcased at barbershop Number 34 this Sunday at 7 p.m.
The exhibit was curated by Roy Anthony Shabla and features work by Daniel Cuesta and Charlotte San Juan.
“We Are Now,” a documentary on “another Downey art scandal,” will also be screened.
The exhibit precedes the opening of “Urban Acts: New Plays from the Streets,” a new series of community-based theater.
The event is free. T-shirts will be available for purchase at $10 each, with proceeds benefiting the Downey Arts Coalition.
Number 34 is at 9029 Florence Ave.
