Downey then travels to Gahr on April 16 and then host Gahr on April 19.
The schedule then takes the Vikings to Paramount on April 23 and before a home rematch against Paramount on April 26.
Downey coach Jess Gonzalez and his team are looking forward to the home and away portion of their league schedule. The Vikings excelled last year at this time and finished league play with a record of 11-4, earning the top seed from the San Gabriel Valley League.
Gahr also finished 11-4 (Downey held the tiebreaker), Paramount was 10-5 and Warren finished at 9-6. All four teams participated in postseason play.
The same four teams are once again competing for the S.G.V.L. title. The next three weeks in league play will determine a league champion and part of the C.I.F. Division III playoff bracket.
