Officials with the Downey Kiwanis Foundation and Downey YMCA toured the Y’s newly-renovated third floor last week, which recently opened after extensive renovations financed by the foundation.
The area received new bamboo flooring for yoga and aerobics classes, while a new walking track was installed around the perimeter. The renovation cost more than $100,000.
The Kiwanis Foundation has provided financial support to the Downey YMCA for several decades.
