On the race for school board: what a good article and well-written! (“School Board Incumbents Charting Unfamiliar Waters,” 9/5/13). It is good sometimes to have challenges.
I want to say this about the race for school board: I, too, did not like to see the names of the schools changed. It was at East Junior High in 1968 that I had my first kiss! (I was 17 – unheard of in these times.)
But to have the challenge come because of one not so popular move on the part of the school board does not take away from the enormous amount of time, dedication and experience the incumbents have to offer.
I am supporting the incumbents.
