CERRITOS – Assemblywoman Cristina Garcia will host her next “walk and talk” on Saturday, May 3, at Liberty Park in Cerritos.
Starting at 8 a.m., constituents can chat with the lawmaker and discuss issues of local importance.
A special guest will be Katherine Chu, a parent to a child with autism, who has become a passionate volunteer and advocate for more than 50 families of children with special needs.
Chu created Cerritos CARES (Community Advocates for Adaptive Recreation, Education and Support), which educates families about resources and advocates on issues affecting children with special needs.
