Airman reports to Tokyo

DOWNEY - Air Force Capt. Laura Apeldoorn has arrived for duty at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo.Apeldoorn, an air freight officer in charge with five years of military service, is assigned to the 730th Air Mobility Command. She is the daughter of Lawrence and Hyonae Apeldoorn of Downey. She graduated from Downey High School in 1998 and received a bachelor's degree from Cal State Long Beach in 2004.
