DOWNEY - Bob's Big Boy, which successfully rebuilt the Johnie's Broiler diner after it was illegally demolished in 2007, has met its requirement to maintain 30-40 full-time jobs and will receive $100,000 as part of a package of economic incentives approved by the city of Downey last year.Jim Louder, owner of the local Bob's Big Boy franchise, agreed to build the restaurant in 2008 after the city said it would provide incentives to make the project economically viable. The money will be paid out of the city's redevelopment fund, officials said. Bob's Big Boy celebrated its first anniversary last month.
