Brian Ellis

Our beloved son Brian Christian Ellis "Linares" passed away November 20, 2009. He was born November 1, 1978 and had just turned 31 years of age. He resided in Downey, CA, with his parents, George and Diane Linares and his younger brother Daniel Linares. He was a client of the Easter Sealprogram of Downey and eagerly enjoyed participating in their daily activities. Those through-out the Stonewood Shopping Center, the local YMCA and the Downey and Norwalk Libraries may well remember his smiling face and kind words. He made friends easily and once a person met him, he was not easily forgotten. His celebration of life, his gentle spirit, and the loving joy he brought to his family and friends will always be remembered. Because his family believed it would be Brian's wish, his organs were donated through OneLegacy, a donate life organization. Preliminary reports are that a 12 year old girl received his heart and a 17 year old girl received his liver and both of his lungs. Within a few months our family will hear the success of these transplants. It is our hope that someday those families will know the wonderful young man who gave them these gifts, this holiday season. Along with his parents and younger brother, Brian is survived by his father Steven Ellis of West Virginia, his sister Monica Montenegro, brother Army Medic, SPC George M. Linares [currently stationed in Afghanistan], brother-in-law Junior Montenegro, and nephew Cash Montenegro. He is also remembered by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and deeply chereshed friends. We love you Brian, and will miss you tremendously each and every day.
