Buses offer free rides to bicyclists

DOWNEY - The DowneyLink bus system is participating in "Bike to Work Day" on May 17, offering free rides to anyone with a bicycle and helmet.The event is part of MTA's "Celebrate Bike Week L.A. 2012", a weeklong celebration of bicycle transportation. Other transit providers participating in the celebration include Norwalk Transit, MTA, Culver City Bus, Glendale Beeline, LADOT, Montebello Bus Lines, Pasadena ARTS and Santa Clarita Transit.
