Christian Club to salute veterans

DOWNEY - The Downey Christian Women's Club will pay respects to local veterans at their Nov. 14 meeting at the Los Amigos Country Club.The meeting's guest speaker is Lisa Bingham. Her topic is "My Life in Germany." The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $14 and includes a buffet lunch. For reservations, call Anita at (562) 861-3414.
