Church choirs come together

DOWNEY - The choirs from Moravian Church of Downey and First Presbyterian church of Downey will perform a joint concert this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the Moravian church.Moravian composer David Moritz Michael will lead the choirs as they sing church anthems. The churches will also hold joint Sunday school classes. In addition, Moravian Church of Downey will host its open mic night May 21 at 6:45 p.m. Local residents are invited to share their talents in singing, dancing, poetry, storytelling and more. Residents can also attend simply to observe.
