Church plans festival June 19

DOWNEY - Downey Memorial Christian Church will host a "New Beginnings Celebration" on June 19 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.The event will feature several live bands and a waterslide, dunk tank and jumper for children. There will also be games of volleyball and basketball. Tacos, ice cream and drinks will be sold with nothing costing more than $1. The church is located at 8441 E.
