Friday, Jan. 23 At 6 p.m., officers responded to the Krikorian parking structure (8200 3rd St) regarding a robbery investigation. Officers met with the victim who reported an unknown female asked to use the victim’s cell phone. As the victim handed the suspect the cell phone the suspect grabbed the phone and ran away. The victim caught up to the suspect and as she attempted to stop her, the suspect punched her and ran into a waiting vehicle. The victim suffered minor injuries and officers were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives are investigating.

 

Saturday, Jan. 24

At 6:30 p.m., officers responded to an armed robbery that occurred at 8019 Stewart & Gray Rd. (Pacific Burger). The adult male suspect entered the restaurant and pointed a handgun at the cashier. The suspect demanded the money from the cashier. The cashier gave the suspect approximately $300 and the suspect fled on foot from the location. Detectives are investigating.

 

At 11:35 p.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Firestone Blvd. at Paramount Blvd. when an officer located a vehicle that was used in a vandalism earlier in the evening. Officers stopped the vehicle for further investigation. Officers were able to determine that the driver and passenger were responsible for the vandalism and placed them under arrest. It was also discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen. The driver and an additional passenger were arrested for vehicle theft.
