Crime Report - Nov. 9, 2015

Friday, Oct. 30:

At 10:30 a.m., Downey police officers were dispatched to 7635 Firestone Blvd. regarding a burglary. Employees from Southern California Coin and Stamp arrived at the business and discovered someone had broken through the roof of the business sometime during the night. The suspects stole numerous items before fleeing the scene undetected. Detectives are investigating. 

At 10:00 p.m., Downey Police Officers were dispatched to the 7400 block of Irwingrove regarding a robbery.  A man had been sitting in his vehicle, in front of his home, when he was robbed by two armed men. The suspects took the victim’s wallet and cell phone before driving away in a black Kia. Detectives are investigating.   

Saturday, Oct. 31: 

At 9:30 a.m., while on routine patrol, an officer patrolling the area of Rio San Gabriel Park observed two males illegally parked in a vehicle.  The officer contacted the males and found cocaine in the car.  Both men, one from Lynwood and the other from Norwalk, were arrested.

Sunday, Nov. 1: 

At 1:00 a.m., Downey police officers were dispatched to the 9200 block of Brookshire Ave. regarding a residential burglary. The resident had returned home and determined that someone had entered his house through his unlocked rear door. Detectives are investigating.
