Downey High's class of 1978 planning 40th reunion

DOWNEY – On Oct. 12 – 14, Downey High School’s class of 1978 will mark the 40th anniversary of its graduation with a weekend of gatherings, games, and group field trips.

The fun kicks off Friday night with some attendees traveling to Lynwood to cheer on the Viking football team at a DHS away game, and others competing in a miniature golf tournament at Golf ‘N Stuff, followed by an awards ceremony and party at Rock and Brews (at Stonewood Shopping Center).

Saturday morning, graduates will be treated to a tour of the Downey High School campus, followed by lunch at Mimi’s Café. Later that evening, the reunion dinner takes place. Casual attire is highly encouraged.
