Downey KIWIN'S win awards at district convention

The Downey High School KIWIN’S Club attended the 39th annual California-Nevada-Hawaii District KIWIN’S Convention, held April 17-19 at the Warner Center Marriott in the city of Woodland Hills and returned home with numerous awards and honors.

They celebrated a year of service by winning four District Awards  and three International Service Awards that will move on to Key Club International Convention to compete with Key Clubs around the world. 

Karina Gonzalez, a senior at Downey High School, also received a a great honor by winning the award for  Distinguished Lieutenant Governor of the Year.
