DUSD creates activity pass for seniors

DOWNEY – Downey Unified has announced the creation of a “Senior Activity Pass” that will grant Downey seniors free admission to most athletic events, musicals and plays at DUSD schools.

The pass, which has no expiration date and no cost to the pass holder, would allow free access to most events with the exception of away games, Downey v. Warren rivalry games, tournaments, CIF events and any outside provider events.

While the admittance is free, there may be times when the pass holder would need to pick up tickets ahead of time to guarantee a seat.

Senior citizens interested in obtaining a pass should call Downey Unified at (562) 469-6511 or (562) 469-6513 to arrange an appointment to have your photo taken for a custom pass.

Downey Unified is in the initial phases of creating additional passes which will include a Downey Unified Employee Pass and an Alumni Pass, which will be offered to graduates or former attendees of Downey Unified schools.

More details will be shared once these items become available.
