Emma Schwarz was born Emma Elizabeth Mosier August 3, 1924 on a farm outside of Van Wert, Ohio to Arley and Mimmie Mosier. She succumbed to congestive heart failure on January 8, 2014 at the age of 90 while at home surrounded by family. The eighth of ten children, she was the last surviving of her siblings.
