Funeral services for Elenore Gasdia

DOWNEY-Elenore Lucille Gasdia, a longtime Downey resident and active member of the community, died Nov. 1. She was 84.She was born June 9, 1925 in Los Angeles. She lived in Downey for 56 years and was involved with the Assistance League of Downey, PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization) and the Downey Community Hospital Auxiliary. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church of Downey. Pastor Candice Blankman will officiate. Burial will follow at Downey Cemetery. Gasdia is survived by a brother, John Cairns, of Norco; son, Brian (Noreen) Gasdia; and four grandchildren, Kristin, Nicholas, Andrew and Jaclyn. Miller-Mies Mortuary assisted with services.
