Gutierrez-Marquess engagement

DOWNEY – Willie and Carol Gutierrez have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lara Marie Gutierrez, to Dylan F. Marquess, the son of Red and Janice Marquess. The two are high school sweethearts, both having attended Downey High. The proposal took place New Year’s Eve in Naples, Calif., in front of family.

Lara graduated from Concordia University December 2014, and is currently pursuing her single subject teaching credential at Cal State Long Beach.

Dylan will graduate in May 2015 with a degree in Computer Science from Cal State Long Beach. He will then begin employment with Northrup-Grumman in Redondo Beach.

The couple is planning to exchange vows this October.
