Laughing yoga class in Long Beach

LONG BEACH - Local yogamaster Yogi Ramesh will present a "laughing medicine" class Oct. 5 at the Bixby Knolls Towers in Long Beach starting at 7 p.m.Ramesh teaches how laughing has been used as a source of healing for more than 5,000 years. Laughing can boost endorphines, reduce stress levels and boost immunity. "It is therapy for the heart, mind and body, and it just makes you feel good," said Ramesh. The class is part of the Parkinson's Resource Organization's regular meeting. Admission is free and everyone is invited, although donations will be accepted.
