DOWNEY -- Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar will open to the public Jan. 19, becoming the first restaurant to open at the new Promenade development.
The restaurant will be Lazy Dog's 19th location.
"We're thrilled to announce that we'll be settling down roots at The Promenade as we continue to expand our Lazy Dog family in Southern California, our home base," said Chris Simms, founder and CEO of Lazy Dog. "It's exciting to become part of a new community for us, especially when we can create a space where people feel comfortable dining -- whether it be for a casual bite amongst family or a celebratory meal with friends."
The Downey restaurant covers more than 9,400 square feet and boasts rustic decor and accents such as fireplaces. There is also a chandelier created using Aspen logs.
Multiple televisions are located throughout the bar and patio, which is dog-friendly.
Lazy Dog opened its first location near Huntington Beach in 2003. The upscale casual dining restaurant offers food made from scratch along with craft brews and hand-crafted cocktails.
The restaurant will be open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and weekends from 10 a.m. to midnight.
