Letter to the Editor: Clean up your signs

Dear Editor:

By the time of this publication it will be 10 days after the election. Congratulations to the local candidates who were victorious, and to the city for passing its funding measure.

Now it’s time to display some civic responsibility, both winners and losers. The signage that was put up on local streets for the most part is still there. This is typical after many elections…there appears to be no will to commit the time and effort to go around and retrieve them.

For candidates who campaigned on civic pride to allow this to occur is shameful. Voters have long memories and many of you will be running in the future, so it is in your best interest to get this done.

Let’s keep Downey beautiful. people!
