Library open half-day on Friday

DOWNEY - The Downey City Library will be closed on Friday, Aug. 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. as library employees attend a staff development workshop.The library will open at 1 p.m. and close at 5 p.m. When the library is closed, the public may return library materials in two bookdrops located near the library entrance doors. Materials may be renewed via the library's automated customer service line at (562) 869-5723. The library will also be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
