Miffed at coverage

Dear Editor:Through the grapevine I found out that there are a few interesting presentations coming up this month at the Downey Theatre. I found nothing on the subject in last week's Patriot. I have been under the impression that a local community paper disseminates local community news. Silly me! If I wanted to know about the benefits of oil companies, I would read the Wall Street Journal. I expect my local paper to inform me of the coming events in my city. I found nothing at all regarding our one and only theater. How disappointing. -- Ingrid Altman, Downey
