Music expert slated to speak

WHITTIER - Film music expert Dr. Larry Timm will be the guest speaker at the Rio Hondo Symphony Guild's concert preview April 30 at First Friends Church in Whittier.Timm has been a music professor at Cal State Fullerton for more than 30 years. His book, "The Soul of Cinema," is the standard text used by professors across the country, event organizers said. The concert preview begins at 10 a.m. and is free and open to the public.
