Resident riding for homeless

DOWNEY - Downey resident Tyler Patterson will bike down the Pacific Coast from Seattle to Los Angeles to raise money and awareness for homelessness on the West Coast.Patterson and two friends started a non-profit organization in 2007 called PoverTees, which provides food, clothing, blankets and more to the homeless in downtown Los Angeles. Patterson is seeking sponsors as he prepares for his trek. In addition to monetary donations, he is also accepting home-cooked meals and places to sleep along the way.
