DOWNEY – Tickets are now on sale for a city-sponsored excursion to the Tournament of Roses Parade on Jan. 1. Cost is $67 for Downey residents and $71 for non-residents.
The fee includes transportation, admission, and meal (if applicable). The trip departs from the Barbara J. Riley Center.
There is no limit on tickets, but residents should be aware there is walking involved.
“There is nothing like experiencing the Tournament of Roses Parade in person,” the city said in a press release. “Experience the wonderful aroma of the flowers as each float passes by, the colorful pageantry of the nation’s award-winning bands, extraordinary equestrian units and, most of all, the creativity of each float’s interpretation of the theme “Inspiring Stories.”
“Your grandstand seats are located where you will not miss any of this world-renowned event.”
