Southern California Mexican American Golf Association Tournament

After winning last month's inaugural Norwalk Invitational, Downey residents Samantha Rocha (13 years old) and Jared Avalos (12), headed to Palm Springs over the Memorial Day weekend where they finished first in the 15th annual Southern California Mexican American Golf Association Tournament. The tournament was held in the Arnold Palmer-managed Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort and attracted junior golfers from Arizona, San Diego, Los Angeles and the Inland Empire.
