Summer acting course offered

LONG BEACH - The Long Beach Playhouse will begin offering its Summer Youth Theatre School beginning July 13. The two-week long program is open to students entering third grade through high school.Students will be trained in all areas of theater performance, including basic acting techniques, improvisation, text analysis, scene study, voice, and movement. Along with the fundamental curriculum, students will be able to choose from a selection of elective classes that includes playwriting, clowning, stage combat, Shakespearean monologues, and musical theater.
