Thanksgiving meals for The Arc of Los Angeles and Orange Counties

Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis served Thanksgiving meals to more than 100 consumers at The Arc -- Los Angeles and Orange Counties last week. The meal is an annual tradition for the service club.

The Arc of Los Angeles and Orange Counties was founded in 1956 by a handful of dedicated and resourceful parents who wanted educational and employment opportunities for their sons and daughters. The Arc LAOC has a rich and successful history of improving the lives of people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities and their families.

Today The Arc LAOC serves over 400 children and adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities from 26 cities in the Los Angeles County and Orange County areas. Arc has a variety of programs and services developed to meet the needs of the people it serves.
