Tickets on sale for Blood, Sweat & Tears at Downey Theatre

DOWNEY -- Contemporary jazz-rock band Blood, Sweat & Tears featuring Bo Bice will perform at the Downey Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 27, at 8 p.m.

Boasting several gold hits, the band fuses rock, blues, pop music, horn arrangements and jazz improvisation into a hybrid genre that came to be known as jazz-rock.

They’ve won gold records and Grammy Awards for their multiple Top 40 hits, including “”You’ve Made Me So Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel,” “When I Die,” “Hi-De-Ho,” “Lucretia Mac Evil,” “Go Down Gamblin” and “God Bless the Child.”

Bo Bice joined the group as lead vocalist in 2013 after finishing as runner-up in the fourth season of “American Idol,” behind Carrie Underwood.

Tickets start at $59 and can be purchased online at downeytheatre.org, in person at the theater box office, or by calling (562) 861-8211.

The theater lobby and patio will open one hour prior to show time. Beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at a concession bar operated by Soroptimist International of Downey.
