Tickets on sale for Christmas brunch

DOWNEY - Seats are still available for the Assistance League of Downey's Christmas Tree Brunch taking place Nov. 18 at the Long Beach Hilton.Cost is $75 per person, with a $37.50 tax deduction per ticket. Sixty-eight percent of all proceeds will go back to the community in various ways. Guests will have opportunities to win prizes by purchasing $1 raffle tickets. Among the prizes are five decorated Christmas trees containing $100 in cash and more than 25 other items ranging in value from $25-$200. Guests can also try to win $500 by purchasing $5 raffle tickets. For tickets, call Charlene Roche at (562) 882-6434. Deadline to purchase tickets is Nov. 10.
