Warren grad finishes basic training

DOWNEY - Air Force Airman 1st Class Valerie K. Mata graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.She completed an eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Mata also earned four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Robert Mata and Anna Cornejo. Mata is a 2010 graduate of Warren High School.
