Warren High PTSA wins wager

DOWNEY – The numbers are in and Warren High has beaten rival Downey in the schools’ PTSA membership competition. The schools wagered that the PTSA president with the least number of new memberships was to wear the opponent’s school shirt to their meetings and volunteer events.

The contest was all in good fun, and helped both schools hit memberships over 500.

“With numbers like that, not sure anyone really lost,” said Claudia Cano, second vice president and membership chair of the Warren High PTSA. “Thanks to all who participated. The city of Downey is very lucky to have such devoted alumni, family and friends.”
