WDLL All-Stars reach title game in Little League World Series tournament

DOWNEY – West Downey Little League’s Major All Star team has advanced to the championship game of the International Little League World Series Tournament, which will be held June 30 against La Mirada Little League. 

The game will determine the District 29 winner, which will advance to the Section play. 
It has been 20 years since a West Downey Little League Major team has reached the district championship game.

The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at Behringer Park in La Mirada.

The tournament is double elimination, meaning if La Mirada wins they are district champs and Downey takes second place. If Downey wins, they play their final game July 1 at 6 p.m. to determine the champion.
