Downey Police "formally" arrested and booked a man suspected in Wednesday's triple homicide.
The suspect was one of four people rounded up yesterday afternoon for questioning. Three of the men were ultimately released after interrogations.
Police did not release the suspect's identity.
Meanwhile, an attorney representing the victims' family denied that the killings were drug-related. Instead, they claim Josimar Rojas, 26, was killed in an apparent robbery after listing a Chevy Camaro for sale on Craigslist.
Irene Cardenas, 35, and Susana Perez-Ruelas, 34, were also killed.
Police said they are "still trying to determine a motive for the shooting."
Ruelas' 13-year-old son was shot in the arm but survived the attack. Another adult shooting victim remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
