Marquez finished the hotly-contested race with 2,152 votes, enough to edge out Michael Murray, who collected 2,055 votes.
Marquez will serve a second four-year term on the city council.
He'll be joined by Alex Saab, who crushed his opponents by collecting 13,626 votes. Salvador Franco ended up with 4,289 votes, followed by Gabriel Orozoco (3,635).
Ricardo Perez, who did absolutely zero campaigning, still managed 2,569 votes.
