Downey High School's improbable run through the CIF playoffs is over, with the Vikings defeating La Serna, 33-25, tonight to win their first football championship since 1957.
"Congratulations Downey High School on winning the CIF championship," Councilman Fernando Vasquez wrote on Facebook. "What a game!"
