A car wash will be held Saturday morning to raise money for the family of Marla Iriarte, a Downey native who died in a car crash early Wednesday morning.

Iriarte, 28, lived in Lake Elsinore but was originally from Downey.

According to the Riverside County coroner, Iriarte died at about 4:30 a.m. when she lost control of pick-up truck and struck a tree. No reason was given for the crash.

She is survived by an 8-year-old daughter.

The car wash starts at 9 a.m. at Kelly's Tavern, where she previously worked as a bartender.
