The Downey Fly Fishers club is conducting a free introduction to fly fishing class March 25 and April 1 at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center.

Students will learn about fly fishing and how it differs from spin and conventional fishing; basic equipment to get started, fly fishing terminology; fly rod and reel components; fly fishing techniques; entomology; how to read the water; knots; safety on the water; and casting.

Classes are from 7-9 p.m.
