Friday, March 29: During P.M. hours, Downey Police Officers conducted ABC compliance/City ordinance checks at several bars and restaurants within the City. A few minor violations were observed and citations were issued for the violations.
Saturday, March 30: At 1:30 A.M., officers responded to 8206 Firestone Blvd. regarding a subject passed out in the parking lot. The subject was found to be too intoxicated to provide officers a statement. Downey Fire responded and the subject was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
From 7:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon, Downey Police Explorers assisted the Downey Fire Department with the City's water barrel give away to local residents. The event was held in the Stonewood Mall parking lot.
Sunday, March 31: At 9:30 A.M., officers responded to a call in the 12200 block of Woodruff Ave., where officers located a subject who was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics.
At 9:15 P.M., a male suspect responded to a residence in the 8000 block of Brookpark Rd. regarding a "Craigslist" add for the sale of an "Iphone 5." Once inside the residence, the suspect grabbed the phone from the victim's hand and ran from the residence to an awaiting vehicle.
