A Downey man who teaches at a Los Angeles charter school has been arrested on charges that he sexually abused three female students.
The alleged abuse involves two 14-year-old girls and one 13-year-old, authorities said.
Juan Ramon Cardoza, 55, allegedly abused the girls between Oct. 1, 2012 and March 11 of this year on the campus of New Designs Charter School.
Cardoza is charged with four felony counts of lewd act upon a child and one count of child molesting, a misdemeanor.
He is scheduled to be arraigned May 15 at Compton Superior Court.
If convicted, Cardoza faces a maximum sentence of six years in prison.
