Crime report for week of March 21

Thursday, March 14
At 12:45 p.m., officers arrested a female after receiving reports that she was acting irrational and lying in the street in the 12600 block of Glenshire. The woman also attempted to assault officers when they arrived at the scene. She was taken into
protective custody and held for a mental evaluation after she showed signs of mental illness.

At 1:45 p.m., a man was robbed by two males after he confronted them in the 12400 block of Benedict about on-going teasing they were doing to his sister at a local high school. The suspects assaulted the victim and stole his car keys. Responding officers located the two suspects in a nearby neighborhood and arrested them. The victim’s keys were found in possession of the suspects and both were charged with robbery.

At 4:30 p.m., a witness reported seeing a male “tagging” on a railroad electrical box in the area of Downey & Nance. Officers located the “tagger” nearby and arrested him. The suspect was charged with vandalism.

Sunday, March 17
At 2:00 a.m., a double homicide occurred just outside George’s Restaurant and Bar located at 7857 Florence. Two males, both in their 30′s, succumbed to gunshot and stab wounds that they received during a fight with a group of males. Detectives are investigating.

Wednesday, March 20
Officers located a stolen Honda Civic in the area of Imperial Hwy and Lakewood Blvd. Officers conducted a traffic stop and the male driver was arrested for Grand Theft Auto
