Dunkin’ Donuts, which last month announced plans for a major expansion into the western United States, has tentative plans to open a story at the former Arby’s restaurant on Firestone Boulevard, across from Stonewood Center, according to reports.
Our friends at Downey Loves Trader Joe’s, a Facebook page, first reported the news Saturday after attending a community development town hall forum last week.
According to the Wall Street Journal, Dunkin’ Donuts plans to open 150 locations in Southern California over the next six years.
The Arby’s restaurant closed unexpectedly in the summer of 2012 and has remained vacant (except for the occasional homeless encampment).
