Family heirloom mistakenly sold at yard sale
WRITTEN BY :   Debbie Bell

I am hoping this letter reaches the individual who purchased a redwood table on Saturday, May 25 on Tristan Dr. at a garage sale.

The table was not supposed to be sold, it was just being temporarily stored in the garage to make room for a hospital bed we needed to put in its space.

The table has been in our family for over 30 years and was a special gift made for my father by his dear friend. His friend wanted to show his eternal appreciation for all the support and friendship my father had shown him over the years.

It was a shock to find the table gone and a terrible mistake made by the person who sold it.

If you are the person who bought it, or you may know the person who bought this beautiful table and treasured sentimental gift, please find it in your heart to return it to us. We will gladly pay you what you paid for it plus a little more for your trouble.

We are hoping this article gets read and the grace of God’s hand is upon it.

I can be reached at (562) 292-1596 or you can return it to its home at 9922 Tristan Dr. Downey, Calif. 90240.

I also want to thank the Patriot for being the avenue in which this message is getting out in our community. I have lived in Downey all my life and I could not think of a better way to reach the people of our town and just maybe be we will be surprised by taking this shot in the dark.
