Four people were ejected in a single-car collision at Lakewood Boulevard and Rosecrans Avenue early this morning, although all victims survived.
Because the collision occurred in Bellflower city limits, detectives from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are handling the investigation.
Authorities say the car was traveling eastbound on Rosecrans at 2:02 a.m. at a “high rate of speed” when the driver lost control, hitting a curb and wrought iron fence before the car flipped over into a tree.
Five people were in the vehicle; four were ejected. All were transported to local hospitals with one victim in critical condition.
Authorities did not say if drugs or alcohol contributed to the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
