Five things to know this Monday morning:

1.) The victim of Friday’s fatal traffic collision on Lakewood Boulevard has been identified as 18-year-old Isaac Antonio Marroquin, of Downey. Marroquin was a passenger in a minivan that crashed into the rear of a semi-trailer Friday night. Four other passengers were injured.

According to his Facebook profile, Marroquin graduated from Warren High School and was studying at Rio Hondo College.

An organization called Freedom Flights is about $1,100 short of their $30,000 goal that will send 400 local shelter dogs to no-kill shelters in Oregon and Washington. If the fundraising is successful, animals from the county animal shelter in Downey and SEAACA will be among the dogs flown out of California. GoFundMe
