There is a ribbon-cutting at 4:30 p.m. at Downey Teacher & School Supplies, a new store at 10445 Lakewood Blvd. (at Cherokee Drive). The store is owned by Sandy Bram.


5.)
¬†Angelo Carmine D’Eramo, a member of the Downey Knights of Columbus, died July 18 of natural causes at age 83. He was a Korean War veteran, and had a 21-year career with the Gas Company.
