Five things to know this Friday morning:

1.) Warren High girls volleyball beat Downey yesterday. Here's cool video from Instagram of the winning point.

2.) Downey High KIWIN'S Club visited Fire Station No. 1 yesterday for "Thank a Hero Thursday."

"What a nice bunch of thoughtful young people!" the fire department posted on Facebook. "Keep up the great community service DHS Kiwanians!!"

3.) A former Downey High basketball player says he was pulled over by Downey PD "for being black on a Thursday night."

4.) A photo of three emaciated dogs in Pico Rivera was posted to the Crime Watch of Downey Facebook page and went mini-viral.

ABC-7 reports that SEAACA removed the pups, along with five other dogs at the home, and have opened an animal cruelty investigation.
